Sharpco sharpening service offers one of the highest quality re-tipping / re-condititioning services available. The new high-quality tips are made of 440A stainless steel and finished with ultra sharp edge.  

Dental retipping has proven to be a safe and economical alternative to buying expensive new instruments. Our re-tipping process is based on the same procedure your instruments went through when they were originally manufactured. First, we remove the old worn out tip, then accurately insert and seal the new precision tip into your existing handle.  Your instruments are then sharpened and polished before returning them to you. We will only retip an instrument with a tip that the handle was orginally stamped for.

Sharpco performs the following tests and evaluations on dental handpieces:

CONCENTRICITY EVALUATION: This tests tells how much bur deflection is on a specific handpiece. Maintaining International Standards Organization (ISO) standard of .0011 inches or less.

REVOLUTION and FREQUENCY MEASURING: This testing Analyser is a very important part of our service. It measures the noise frequency, and outgoing speed (RPM) of a running handpiece.

AUTOCHUCK PULL FORCE TEST: This test measures how many pounds of pull are required to remove a locked bur from the spindle. The industry standard is 4-6lbs.  This measurment will tell us if the spindle can be re-used in the rebuilding of the turbine.

• Air/Water line cleaning
• Exterior polish and cleaning
• Tested under load of 35-40 psi  

NOTE: If your handpiece requires turbine replacement, or any additional parts, there will be an additional charge.
